What Is MagicJack Plus?
I’m sure you know what Magic Jack is, but you may not know what MagicJack Plus is. Well, in a nutshell the original Magic Jack was a plug and play phone connection that you could attach to your computer to make free calls within the USA and Canada. The issue here was that you had to have a computer!
With MagicJack Plus that is no longer a requirement as you can now plug it straight into a router or modem to be able to call anyone in the world. The great thing is that you can still use your computer if you so please.
Magic Jack Plus does need a broadband connection to work but this is one of the only limitations I found with the product after doing research.
Benefits
After reading many different MagicJack Plus reviews it was clear there are some key benefits of this voIP product which I will share here.
The biggest benefit seems to be that it is a phone system that allows you to call anybody in the world, and in fact anybody within the USA or Canada absolutely FREE.
This benefit also combines with the fact you no longer need a computer to make your calls. Apparently, this is great when you haven’t got access to your computer but you have to a router or modem.
Another massive improvement over the original Magic Jack that many users reported was the improved sound quality.
Now, I have used the original Magic Jack and the sound quality on that was really good in my opinion, although the sound quality seems to be even better on this device.
It is also a one time payment which is a huge benefit. However, you should be aware that after the first year it will then cost you $19.95 per year to use this. This is substantially lower than any other phone provider but I thought you should be aware of that before you buy.
The ease of set up was also a big benefit as there are so many other products that require you to be a computer technician (well, almost) to get something to work. This is a plug and play device that is installed very quickly and easily.
The other major benefits that were noted were the fact you get free voicemail, your own phone number, caller ID, call forwarding and the FREE phone calls (did I mention that?).
User Feedback
To give you an idea of what to expect from MagicJack Plus I wanted to encapsulate what the vast majority of users thought about it. One user summed it up perfectly with the following quote:

Regarding the call quality which is extremely important one user reported the following:

As you can see the Magic Jack does seem to work very well. Now, it may not be perfect at all times but when you factor in the fact it is so cheap and convenient it really does seem like a great deal.
